Fun Fact: Harold B. Lee was called as a stake president during the Great Depression.Under his leadership, a storehouse was stocked with goods produced on stake projects or donated by Church members. Through local Church units the General Authorities gave encouragement, counsel, and support to these efforts to help meet the emergency.

History: President Harold B. Lee served as the Lord's prophet for 17 months and 19 days. During this period of change and expansion, he saw the creation of the first stakes in Chile and on the Asian mainland in Korea. He presided over the first are conferences held in Mexico City, Mexico, and Munich, Germany. He also extended the welfare services program of the Church worldwide. he died in 1973 at age 74. I thought it was interesting that "He was likewise been sensitive to the loneliness, to the fear, to the challenges facing men in military service. During the years of World War II, the Korean War, and the war in Vietnam, he directed the service men's program of the Church.

Who am I? Chapter 2
This chapter focuses on our eternal identity and how knowledge of this identity affects our lives. He emphasizes that the fact that we are on earth with a physical body is an evidence that we were among those who kept our first estate. Since we passed the test ,we have been permitted to be here, of not then we would have been down with Satan trying to tempt the ones who had a body. Therefore we must be faithful in order to complete our foreordained missions on earth. Some of us are chosen to do greater things, but how others are not. He explains two reasons why that is. Fist, "because their hearts are set so much upon things of this world", and second, "aspire to the honors of men, that they d o not learn this one lesson- that the rights of the priesthood are inseparably connected with the powers of heaven". We have free agency which  means we are free to choose good or evil. Some chosen men in the spirit world or in the first estate were chosen to fulfill a certain work here on earth, but but whether they will accept their calling here and magnify it by faithful service and good works while in mortality is a privilege to choose for himself whether he wants to fulfill it or not. I think for me, when I realized that agency is a positive thing, I became more grateful and became more conscious of my choices. I use to hate to decide because often I would feel like I would make the incorrect choice and so I would have to live with the consequences. Now I see it as a blessing because I am able to take that incorrect choicer and make the best out of it by not focusing so much on the negative aspect of it, but as to what I can do to improve and use my critical thinking skills to make better choices next time around. I really enjoyed this lesson because it reminded me that we come from a divine God who has given us a chance to prove our faithfulness to him. As we experience trials, we come closer to knowing  our  kind and gracious Heavenly Father.
